DAY ON THE HILL 2015 ... Jevlin Voyles
This is the artwork I submitted to Art for Awareness / Day on the Hill in Nashville (2015). This art hung on the wall of Legislative Plaza in Nashville for several months (Six, I think).
The day after the artwork was displayed, a woman named Cyera asked me to create a piece of art for her. I created the art and gave it to her on May 9, 2015. Though I didn't make a scan of the poster I did take some pictures of it the night before I presented it to her. Below are some images of the Cyera poster.
When I created the poster for Cyera I referred to it as COLLAGE but later I came across the word PHOTOBASH online and think that maybe this also qualifies as PHOTOBASH technique. I plan on re-creating two of the three panels of the Cyera poster as new art pieces at some point. This "photobash" technique is one I am very interested in as it will allow me to create artwork filled with complex hidden messages. My plan is to continue creating these photobash collages and to write essays that explain the hidden messages within the artwork.
